Today, I went to the Zoom Laptop Fair in Bangladesh. This is my first time. Although, this laptop fair is third time with 15 pavilions and 5 big stalls. Obviously, I was amused to see that people are loving laptops for making their works more quickly. I asked a one of the businessman that ‘why he needs to waste money to buy a laptop’? He thinks that the lap-top will not waste his money if he can give his time with his family in holidays by doing work from any where. I was marvelous that people are in my country are becoming busy day by day. So, they are now becoming on time in his/her jobs. That is why I think it is justified for a businessman. But, is it good for students also? I was confused. So, I asked to a University student that why do you need to buy Lap-top? He said that he is studying Computer Programming, so he needs a net book/ lap-top to boost his knowledge by practicing programs. I felt positive that it is very good news for us. However, we should be care full so that the development technology in Bangladesh will not misuse.

Now let me say about the fair. The fair was well decorated with different color of lights. People were searching latest technology Laptops where their intention was for buying or interests. Most of the stalls were full of lap-top lover. Many persons were discussing about different companies that offer good brands, long life batteries, and light weights, touch screen, face recognition, finger-print, and so on. Different stalls are offering different gifts, vouchers and discounts from 2000TK to 8000TK. There are both low and high price lap-tops. There were some major brands that I have seen such as ACER, LENOVO, HP, COMPAQ, APPLE, DELL, TOSHIBA, FUJITSU, ASUS, and HASSE. HASSE offers low price laptop with new technology. They offered from 12.5% to 30% discounts with at least two free gifts. ASUS and ACERoffered compulsory discounts, gifts, vouchers with each lap-top during fair only. HP offered discounts, virus software and confirmed gifts. DELL and FUJITSU offered free original NORTON ANTI VIRUS and a perfume with discounts for each laptop. TOSHIBA offered free confirmed gifts, wireless mouse (BDT 2800) with discounts. APPLE and LENOVO offered latest laptop with discounts. Citycell One offered Zoom Ultra modem for TK. 4200 with free virus software and many other gifts. The gate fee was TK.2O. Date: 20-22, January,2010.
